![]() This tutorial was written using PSP version 7.02 but should work with other versions. It also used Eye Candy 4000. You could skip those parts if you don't have Eye Candy. It uses Selections which you can download HERE. I'm assuming you have basic knowledge of the tools in PSP and the use of the layer palette. Included in the zip is a color guide. Just use your dropper tool to select the colors. The pattern I used for his scarf is also in the zip file. Or chose your own! Let's get started! Open a new image size 350x500, transparent background. Add a new layer named right boot. Load rboot selection. Flood fill with black. Deselect. ON THE SAME LAYER. Load rbootlight. Flood fill with white. Deselect. Add a new layer named left boot. At this point we need to go back to our left arm layer in the layer palette. Grab your eraser brush and erase that little part of the arm that is showing on the body. I had to make some changes and realized that part was showing! Add a new layer named hat top. Load hattop selection. Flood fill with color #6 Apply Texture. Selections...Invert. Apply the same drop shadow used on the arms. Deselect. Add a new layer named stripe. Load hatstripe selection. Flood fill with color #1 Apply texture. Deselect. Add a new layer named hat ball. Flood fill with black. Effects...Blur...Soften. Deselect. Add a new layer named cheeks. Flood fill with #ECDAE3 (yep, forgot this one too) Deselect. I also lowered the opacity of this layer to 70% Add a new layer named heart. Load heart selection. Flood fill with color #1 Selections...Invert. Apply the same drop shadow you used on the mittens. Deselect. Paintbrush size: 3 hardness: 75 Opacity: 100 step: 25 density: 100 Paint two black dots on your heart. Next I added an Eye Candy Jiggle to the hat band, all 3 scarf layers, left and right cuffs, and sweater trim. Using these settings: Brownian Motion Bubble size: 5 Warp Amount: 5 TWist: 90 Now add the following drop shadow to the hat band, hat ball, 3 scarf layers, left and right cuffs, and the sweater trim.
Now you can merge your layers and export as a tube! You can make what you want with your result but please do not try to make money with it! And you're done! ![]() |
